The 2nd Gen Tacoma Overland Series Front Bumper (2012-2015) is engineered for serious off-road performance and rugged protection while maintaining a clean, functional design. Built from 3/16" laser-cut P&O steel with 1/4" mounting plates and fully welded 3/4" thick D-ring tabs, this bumper is ready to handle demanding recovery situations and trail abuse. Bull bar tubing is formed from .120 wall 1 3/4" HREW steel, offering the strength and clearance you need without unnecessary weight.
With its high-clearance design, this bumper dramatically improves approach angles, allows for easier fitment of larger tires, and provides much-needed protection for the front end. It’s a true 100% bolt-on upgrade, though minor trimming is required on 2012-2015 models. At 125-145 pounds depending on bull bar configuration, it balances durability with manageable weight.
The bumper is winch-ready, fitting most 8k-12k winches, with the best results coming from models that allow relocation of the control box. Integrated control box winches may require trimming of the grille support brackets, but popular options like ComeUp, Smittybilt X20, Warn Zeon, and VR series are proven fits. For optimal use, synthetic rope and a hawse-style fairlead are recommended, as roller fairleads may not fit the recessed mount.
Lighting integration comes standard with cutouts designed for a 30" single-row light bar, such as the Baja Designs S8, Rigid SR-Series, or Extreme LED 5D, and dedicated fog pockets for Baja Designs Squadron lights. Additional Front Bumper Frame Support Brackets are also included, adding $177 of value and extra strength for demanding recovery pulls.
